By the Law on Amandments to the Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Serbia, which is in effect from April 3rd, 2018, it is stipulated that a citizen of the SFRY or a citizen of another republic of the former SFRY or a ciitizen of another state formed at the territory of the SFRY, who has a residance in the Republic of Serbia on December 31st, 2016 and on the day of submitting the application, can be admitted to the citizenship of the Republic of Serbia.

The request can be submitted within one year from the date of entry into force of the said law, until April 3rd, 2019.
